Yoga is a great way to unwind and dedicate yourself to doing something great for your body and mind – and now, it is a great way to connect with the outdoors. Most yoga classes are held outdoors these days, and there are many wonderful studios and instructors to choose from. Outdoor yoga meet-ups are the most common and traditional yoga sessions, and many are free. These are a great way to go find your bliss regardless of ability to pay.

Silent Disco Yoga

In times like these, we owe it to ourselves to let loose and just move. This silent disco is a combination of yoga, meditation, and dancing all on the beach with awesome music played by a live DJ. Nothing will make you feel freer and centered than giving yourself a 90 min session to disconnect from everything else and just be in the moment and move to great music and waves crashing in the background.

Paddle Board Yoga

Ok, for those of you who are looking for something a little more unique – Paddle Board Yoga provides a great twist on traditional yoga. This takes yoga onto the ocean and to the next level. Your core will be thanking you after this challenging yoga session on a paddle board.

Cats on Mats

For you animal lovers out there, this has your name all over it. Here in San Francisco, you can now be accompanied by soft and fluffy kitty friends if you attend one of Kit Tea’s yoga nights. Who wouldn’t love to have the experts show you that proper cat-cow form, right? And as an added bonus, it’s simply a scientific fact that spending time with furry friends is a great stress reliever.

Ecstatic Dancing

“Ecstatic dance is a form of dance in which the dancers abandon themselves to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes them.” While that may sound a bit intimidating at first, ecstatic dance is for everyone regardless of dance ability. It is simply letting go and letting yourself move with complete freedom and without fear of what you might look like – plus it’s fun! If you feel in desperate need of release and rejuvenation, there might not be anything that can beat this option.
